Fuck it! I'm getting involved... #Vote2010

Tomorrow the people of the US go to the polls.

I really hope that they don't elect a bunch of right wing nutters!

So, I'm firing up my old blog & getting onto this Twitter-thing :)
Here's hoping that I can drive a few people at least to the ballot box.

My 'Dream Aim'? - To become the 'Anti-Glenn Beck' would be nice, but I'll settle in the short term for having my say :)

Education/ Iraq

Here's a little something I just put together in memory of Tony's eternal phrase, "Education, Education, Education".

Some more sympathetic to Tony might entitle it, "A Legacy Overshadowed".
I simply call it, "Legacy".

When he came in, it was,
"Education, Education, Education",
but his legacy is,
"Iraq, Iraq, Iraq".
- said by Christopher Meyer, British ambassador to the United States from 1997 to 2003.

On an artistic point :)...

I think that the traditional 'red stamp' also highlights/ bring out/ reflects the Labour Party's responsibility for their own & their leaders, collective actions while in government.

B-O-R-E-D-!

Well I don't know about you but I'm bored!

B-O-R-E-D-!

(Just thought I'd get that off of my chest!)

It's not as though there aren't big issues going on at the moment;
- ID cards,
- Freedom of Information under is threat,
- & The currently dysfunctional relationship with the Bush administration.

-but this whole waiting period till Tony buggers off & Brown begins his reign, really is starting to wear thin. It's just no fun at the moment to bait Blair.

As a supporter of the Lib Dems, Tony’s proved to be a great punch bag over the last ten years, particularly when he entered his pseudo-messiah like incarnation period- that was circa 2002, from what I can recall- (although I suspect the evidence of this personality disorder goes back much further).

Baiting a lame duck PM who’s on his final farewell to all those world leaders who love him so much, (e.g. Cornal Ker-Daffey-Duck), really doesn't hold the same appeal as it once did.
In this weird little period, (& for quite a while actually), he can simply say to his doubters, "Am I Bovvered!”

I, personally, still haven't got over the shock of the fact that he did indeed say “Am I bovvered”, to the nation…

Anyway, I thought I would start a blog to help this weird period we're in go just that little bit quicker & with just a little less pain.
Perhaps I'll find solidarity in the 'blog-o-sphere'.

When we get to the other side we can say a final "Bugger Off!" to old 'Tone' & begin Brown-Bashing with a passion :).

Till then, (& beyond if all goes well), I shall blog :)

Perhaps I'll win Lib Dem blogger of the year like this guy did!
- I would be so proud!

& if this blog doesn’t quite do it for you, then I guess we can all try http://www.bored.com/ for distraction through the next few weeks :)

Stay Strong!
